The Mayor and the council members fired Scott Janke, who is the manager of Fort Myers Beach town in South Florida. It is reported that the members of council and the Mayor called an emergency meeting on Tuesday when they came to know that, Janke is married to a porn star. The name of Janke’s wife is Anabela Mota Janke.
Scott Janke was fired by the Mayor Larry Kiker as a 5-0 vote was cast against the manager by the Fort Myers Beach town council members. Kiker told The Associated Press,
“At no time did we make a judgment call on the activities of Mr. Janke or his wife,”
He also said,
“It’s a matter of how effective he becomes after this situation. How much disruption there is.”
Kiker said he took immediate action when he learned that Scott’s wife is an adult film star.
According to the Adult Industry News, Anabela Mota Janke named as Jazella Moore when she worked in adult films.
Janke Scott said he is not ashamed on his act and said,
“Our heads are held high,”
Scott said,
“We have nothing to be embarrassed about. We’ve done nothing wrong.”
When Mayor Kiker was asked to tell about the reason behind Janke’s firing he said,
“One of the reasons we brought him here is that there were some divisive problems on the beach,”
He further said,
“We wanted him to bring people together.”
Janke and Anabela were married in October, 2008, and have three teenage kids.
For the town Fort Myers Beach, Janke began his work in March 2008. Previously he also worked in the Keys for the City of Marathon and since 1989 he worked under several local governments.

His job should be based on his capability not his personal life!!!
Sounds to me like he has a case for unlawful dismisal!!!

amazing,they called emer. meeting for this.there has to be bigger issues going on over there than who this guy decided to marry. also who’s business is it anyway but theirs, 2 adults leave them alone. as long as he does his job it shouldnt matter to no one. problem today with alot of state and local govt’s is they believe they have total control over their employees and if people don’t push right back at them they think they can get away with it. i know, i work for state agency in nyc.

I guess I’m wondering how it is that they determined that his wife was in fact a pornographic actress. I mean, if they knew this from first hand knowledge, then I guess we could conclude that they watch f–k movies. I’m thinking that the wives of the city councilmen probably insisted on him going because of her no matter how they found out about it. They were afraid that the boys were going to start having poker games at the city managers place.

The city fathers ought to get out of people’s bedrooms. They should be ashamed! Or maybe proud for inventing a new kind of bigotry. I know one plave in FL I won’t be going.
