Anna baltzer is an author, lecturer and activist for Palestinian rights. She will present a speech on 3rd November at the Cazenovia United Methodist Church, St, Cazenovia. She is a Jewish-American and granddaughter of Holocaust refugees. She is a Columbian graduate and former Fulbright scholar. Award winning lecturer will share her experience with the audience which she got during her work for the human rights. She will also describe about her activities for the Palestinian rights. Despite she is a Jew, she works for Palestinians and their fundamental rights from which they are denied by the Israeli troops and government.
Pat carmeli is a Cazenovian resident and also a member of the CNY Group which works for peace in Israel/Palestine credits her visit to the success of previous events. He said that their priority is to raise awareness and support for the Palestinian side of conflict.
“Our main reason and goal — to reach and educate the public — is because our tax money directly provides overwhelming support of Israel’s military. We believe that with a clearer picture of the realities of life under occupation, the American people will pressure officials for a change in policy,”
Carmeli said.
She has delivered more than 400 lectures at universities, mosques, schools, churches and synagogues around the world with her presentation “Life in Occupied Palistine: Eyewitness Stories and photos” and her full color book: “Witness in Palistine : A Jewish American Woman in the Occupied Territories”. Baltzer received the Arab-American Anti-Discrimination Committee’s prestigious Annual Rachel Corrie Peace and Justice Award in 2009.
