Asolo is one of the smaller but beautiful towns in the Veneto Region of Northern Italy. This place is famous as a “The City of a Hundred Horizons” for its mountain settings. It is also known as “The Pearl of province of Treviso”.
In the early centuries it was under the rule of the Bishops of Treviso and belongs to the possession of the Ezzelino family. Later,  Asolo was become the capital of the Republic of Venice. According to the Asolo geographic structure, it is a small heavenly Italian hill town with a population of 1,500. Its northern area is slanted towards Venice and western from Adriatic Sea. In simple words, Asolo was revolutionized by Palladio through his architectural skills. The Basilica Palladiana in Vicenza, designed by Andrea Palladio, served as the city’s town hall and market. Now it is being used for exhibitions and civic events. The main sights of the Asolo are: The Remains of an amphitheatre which was built in 1978, Ancient and luxury Castles like Rocca in 12 -13 centuries, the Castle of Caterina Cornaro, now home of the Eleonora Duse theatre, and the Palazzo della Ragione, the town museum.
