Oscar nominations have been released and surprisingly Avatar has got 9 nominations. Surprisingly, in the way that James Cameron’s previous film “Titanic” had got 14 Oscar nominations and now Avatar that is more successful film than Titanic has got just 9 Oscar nominations. Avatar is a critically acclaimed 3-D animated film that has made people crazy.

Avatar Oscar nominations are Best Art Direction, Best Directing, Best Film Editing, Best Cinematography, Best Sound Editing, Best Sound Mixing, Best Original Score, Best Visual Effects and Best Picture.

The other pictures nominated for Best Picture award are “District 9” and “Up” and these both are tough competitor of Avatar. However, most hopefully, James Cameron will be declared as Best Director. The Oscar Awards are coming soon on 7th March. The song of Avatar was not as good if we compare it with Titanic song “My Heart Will Go On” that had become the trademark of the film. That song had actually introduced Titanic in the South Asia where music keeps an important place in movies.
