Robert Sirott left WMAQ on 11th June, 2009. He is a broadcaster in Chicago who recently hosting at WGN-AM. Sirott?s professional name is Bob Sirott who is born on 9th August, 1949 in Chicago. He is a host for radio since 1971. Sirott brought up in the Albany Park near Chicago’s North Side, on Ridgway Avenue along with his family. In 1967 he went for graduation in Theodore Roosevelt High School in Chicago. For his bachelor’s degree he joined Columbia College Chicago.
In 1971 in WBBM-FM he start hosting profession while summer vacation. From the year 1973 to 1980 he was a top disc jockey at WLS (AM). In 1980 he worked in television at WBBM-TV. His next job was with the CBS newsmagazine West 57th. In March 1989 along with Allison Rosati he launched and was the co-anchor of WMAQ-TV’s “First Thing in the Morning” and was fired after few years work. Again in March 1994 he worked for “First Thing in the Morning” with his future wife Marianne Murciano till 2000.
On 27th September, 2000 Sirott was appointed for another radio show. While working there some news paper issued news that he didn?t want to work with the anchor Tamron Hall, who had replaced the seat of his wife. Then next day on 28th September, 2000 Sirott article was published in a Chicago Sun-Times that he didn?t said anything like that he just wants to quiet due to some management disputes. From the year 2002 to 2005 he hosted “Chicago Tonight”. In 2006 joined WMAQ. On 11th June, 2009 Sirott left WMAQ due to financial problems with the station.
Sirott married two times in his life. His first wife Carrie Cochran was a news anchor at WBBM-TV. They got married on 7th November, 1981 and worked at the same place for WFLD-TV. They separated in November 1995 but their divorce was announced on April 1999. His second marriage with Murciano who already got two children was held on 11th June, 1999. Sirott and Murciano have one daughter also and now a days living in Wilmette, Illinois.
