Well sometimes its better that truth remains undiscovered, but Matthew Roberts is not that lucky to escape the bitter truth. A 41 year old DJ Matthew Roberts find out about his lost father named Charles Manson, who was a serial killer. Roberts was adopted as a 10 year old and he was raised in lllinois. He was shocked about the discovery which he had to face, He said,

“It was like finding out your father is Hitler,”

Roberts found out his birth mother with the help of search agency, she told him that she had been raped by his father who was a brutal killer in 1960s. Manson and his Family of followers killed nine people in Los Angeles in a period of five weeks. They also stabbed pregnant actress Sharon Tate, wife of film director Roman Polanski.
Roberts said,

“I’m a peaceful person – trapped in the face of a monster,”

He added,

“My hero is Gandhi. I’m an extremely non-violent, peaceful person and a vegetarian. I don’t even kill bugs.”

At first his mother refused to unfold the truth when they began to write each other. Then she revealed the fact that she had spent time with Manson and later on she joined his cult in San Francisco. When she first saw Matthew’s photograph her doubts were confirmed because Manson and his son almost have same facial features and dark hair. Manson is now 75 and imprisoned for life in Corcoran State Prison, California.

Manson confirmed that he had spent time with Matthew’s mother, Roberts’ said,

“He sends me weird stuff and always signs it with his swastika, at first I was stunned and depressed. I wasn’t able to speak for a day. I remember not being able to eat.”

Swastika is a same symbol Manson has tattooed on his forehead.

Roberts’ said,

“He’s my biological father – I can’t help but have some kind of emotional connection. That’s the hardest thing of all – feeling love for a monster who raped my mother. I don’t want to love him, but I don’t want to hate him either.”
