The Blind Side

Sandra Bullock and Tim McGraw’s new movie “The Blind Side”, released Friday, is an inspirational movie. Many burst into tears after watching movie but Sean and Leigh Ann want people to do something more than just cry and admire. They want people to do something for those who are in need of help.
Movie bases on a true story of Baltimore Ravens rookie Michael Oher. The story revolves around a Christian family who provides shelter to a homeless boy growing up in inner city Memphis. They look him walking along the road, wearing just a T-shirt and shorts, they came to know that the boy, Michael Oher, is homeless then they made him their family member. Michael brought up there and eventually becomes a footballer one day.
Most of the African-Americans depicted in the film are drug-addicts, involved in gags, poor and needy but in this movie an African- American is appeared as hero. Some viewers may take it as fantasy that a wealthy white family rescues a black teen but Collins, played in the film by Lily Collins, says that they were not trying to make social statements, they just helped a teen who was in need of help and they helped him in time and would have helped him if he was purple. .

“What we did for Michael was to give him tools to succeed and to have his back when he needed it and to love him,” Collins told Charisma. “It’s amazing what happens when you give a child a little bit of love.”
