On Wednesday, a woman of South Florida was arrested as she allegedly hired an undercover police officer to kill her husband, according to authorities. The name of the woman arrested is Dalia Dippolito. According to the Stephanie Slater, the spokeswoman for Boynton Beach Police Department,
“26-year-old, Dalia Dippolito, was charged with solicitation to commit first-degree murder and taken to the Palm Beach County jail,”
According to a probable cause affidavit, she gave pictures of her 38-year-old husband Michael Dippolito to the hit man and also gave him $1200 to purchase a handgun. She also handed him Michael’s daily schedule details.
On Monday afternoon, the undercover officer who was posing as a hit man arranged a meeting with Dalia Dippolito. In that meeting, the officer demanded $3000 and the key to the couple’s house. The officer met her again in a pharmacy parking lot and asked if she still wanted him to kill her husband. In reply to the officer’s question, she laughed and according to the affidavit she said,
“I will be very happy.”
According to the documents, she said,
“I’m not going to change my mind,”
Dalia also said,
“I am 5,000 percent sure I want it done. When I set my mind to something, I get it done.”
After that, she discuss about the routes to her home and said him to kill her husband on Wednesday. Police informed Michael about this matter and elaborate a crime scene outside Dalia’s home. After that, the undercover officer contact Dalia and said he killed her husband.
Stephanie Slater said,
“The bottom line is, we wanted her to believe without question that when she arrived that her husband was dead,”
When she arrived at home, she dramatically broke into tears but she wasn’t aware that her husband is still alive and police arrested her.
