Dan Klores, the famous director for films and documentary launched a fresh documentary which is names as “Crazy Love”. This documentary has captured the 2008 “Independent Spirit Award” for Best Documentary. The other documentaries which he has completed are; “Black Magic,” a four-hour, two-part epic which aired a tremendous critical success by commercial free on ESPN.

The New York Times calls his film as “remarkable” due to its popularity and success. The Washington Post said it in the words “engages the senses,” and The Charlotte News and its Observer wrote that “Black Magic” is very harrowing, mesmerizing and uplifting movie. Black Magic is the story of about the injustice that also defines the Civil Rights Movement which delivered by the lives of basketball players and coaches. These players and coaches narrate the story of injustice who attended Historically Black Colleges and Universities.

As a review for the Crazy Love in New York, David Denby said that the documentary of Dan Klores is based on a real world story as a resemblance with the real life, time and place. In this documentary possessiveness, stupidity, loyalty, and need are joined together in bewildering and confusing combinations.

Boston Society of Film Critics and the San Diego Film Critics Society also voted “Crazy Love” the Best Documentary of the Year. International Documentary Association (IDA) nominated this film for the Best Documentary and also claimed to made first prize under The Santa Barbara International Film Festival.

Klores’ first two films also got first prize in World Film Festival. These two films are; “The Boys of Second Street Park” (Showtime, 2003) and “Ring of Fire”, The Emile Griffith Story (NBC-Universal, 2005).
