Dieruff, who luckily survives from the deadly scorpion sting, is to be on the Animal planet new series, where she will share her painful experience. This animal planet series tells about those people who have been attacked by the animal and survived. Unfortunately an innocent graduate of Iraq, Dieruff was attacked by the harmful, poisonous scorpion.
Dieruff was not the only one who becomes the victim of scorpion, there a number of other innocent people who was also attacked by this harmful creature but unluckily found dead. The series tells about the painful and sad story of Staff Sergeant Monique Munro Harris who was close to death as she was stung twice by a deathstalker scorpion last November. In one of the episodes, the story tells about the scorpion attack on Monique, who is a biomedical equipment technician with Kirkuk’s 506th Expeditionary Medical Squadron. It was the time when she was sleeping and all of a sudden awakened, the moment she felt a scorpion on her head. When she tried to take it away, the scorpion stung on her hand. With the passage of time her condition worsened, and she was having difficulty in breathing. She was taken to the hospital by helicopter to Balad Air Base where she was given anti-venom medication. Monique, really experiences the death as she shared her story with the Animal planet channel.
Although the Death stalker scorpion is medium-sized species of scorpion, the Death stalker is one of the most deadly scorpions on Earth. This scorpion’s sting injects extremely toxic venom (a neurotoxin) that can cause extreme pain, fever, paralysis and often coma or death in humans by the failure of heart. This neurotoxin found in Death Stalker venom is being studied by the scientist, who hopes to find in them a treatment for some disease.
