Drew Brees with David Letterman

On Monday night, New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees appeared on “The Late Show”. On the show, Saints quarterback Drew Brees talks about the historic win of his team New Orleans Saints at Super Bowl where they marked a splendid win after defeating the Indianapolis Colts. The host of the show “The Late Show”, David Letterman congratulated Drew Brees on their wonderful win. It was a bit tough job for David Letterman to congratulate Brees as the team beaten by the New Orleans Saints was the Indianapolis Colts, which is the hometown team of the famous TV host.

Drew Brees played a vital role in his team’s win and he was also named the Most Valuable Player that really shows his impact. Letterman told Brees that initially he was frustrate by the defeat of the Colts but after he saw Brees with his son celebrating the victory, he felt that it is really fantastic and saying that he congratulated Brees once again. Then he asked Brees to share his feeling when he held his baby son Baylen to celebrate probably the biggest victory of his life. On this Brees responded,

“When we saw you on TV with your son, it looked like you were both sort of just looking around, enjoying the experience. Is that what it was?”

When Drew Brees was asked by Letterman to comment on the parties thrown in his team’s honor, Brees replied,

“That’s one of the things you love about New Orleans, we know how to throw a party, and doggone it, any excuse to do it, we’re gonna do it. But I’m glad we won and so we can make it even better.”
