On Monday, a former San Dimas High School student and baseball player Edwin Miles died in a car accident. Edwin Miles was better known as Eddie. The death of the reportedly 18-year-old is confirmed by the baseball coach of the school. Edwin Miles recently completes his graduation this summer. He used to play from the champion baseball team of the San Dimas High School.
Manager Mike Regan said the teenage boy killed in a car accident early Monday. California Highway Patrol reported the car accident of the San Dimas man but it was not confirmed initially that the young man died in the fatal accident is Edwin Miles. The accident occurred on the west 60 freeway near Grove Avenue in Ontario. Later on the CHP official confirmed the dead man as Edwin Miles.
His team’s coach, Mike Regan really admire him both as a person and as a sportsman. Regan said that Miles was utility player and his teammates loved him.
Regan said,
“Eddie was just a wonderful kid, a great student, a team guy,”
Regan added,
“Everybody loved Eddie.”
Regan said that Miles has been playing for school for all the four years he spent here as a student and he was willing to do something for his team.
Regan said of Miles,
“He is one of those kids who is a great team guy and always did whatever we asked to do,”
Regan said.
“I am just devastated.”
He said that he spoke with nearly 10 teammates of Miles were shocked as they got aware of his death. Regan said,
“They don’t know what to say,”
