On Tuesday afternoon, the police found a body of a man at the bottom of the Edison Quarry. The man was identified as Eric Gotwols, a 21-year-old young man. At a house party in Doylestown Township, Eric Gotwols, a Plumstead man was seen for the last time. According to Dr. Joseph Campbell, the Bucks County Coroner, Eric Gotwols was pronounced dead at the scene about 2:30 p.m. Gotwols had fallen about 210 feet, said Campbell. Campbell said the autopsy of the unfortunate victim will perform by the medical examiner today.
Dr. Campbell said,
“I suspect multiple injuries will be the cause of death, pending toxicology tests,”
The investigation police also reported that before his death, Gotwols had attended near the quarry at a house. The house where he had attended the party is situated on Quarry Road near Turk Road.
According to Lt. Dean Logan from the Doylestown Township police, Gotwols’ friends saw him at 1:30 a.m. for the last time and after that he was missing. Police also said that when his friends didn’t found him next morning, they went for his search.
Campbell said,
“At about noon, the friends went to the quarry and asked quarry workers if they could search for Gotwols,”
Lt. Dean Logan said he wonder why Gotwols’ friend went to the quarry in search of their friend.

I played baseball with Eric when we were younger.. When my parents told me what happend i didn’t want to believe it. Eric was like a brother to me and i want Mr & Mrs Gotwols to know i will always be there for them.. Love you Eric going to miss my baseball buddy..
