“Ghost hunters” is back with the entertaining John Gates to crack a few jokes with his new season of “Destination Truth”. Everyone is happy to get him back on the show. The Essex County Prison was only closed for 5 years but it has lost in this time period. It can easily serve as a Halloween hot spot in the up comings months. It was built in 1873 but it seems it has been abandoned for 50 years and like all prisons it’s filled with the accidents of death to suicides to murders to putting oneself on fires. Presently the caretakers of the prison, who actually are not taking good care of the prison, often hear footsteps, something or banging on bars by someone, keys jangling, and even shadows of figures have been seen.
Grant Wilson, Jason Hawes, and Josh Gates were the first who investigated the empty halls and cells of prison. It started when Josh seemingly saw a glimpse of shadowing figures. Grant had some strong readings on K2 meter, as there was no electrical power in the cells; they thought it as a reading of spirits who may be trying to have contact with them. Kris Williams was the first of the team to go in to the Tunnelsof the prison with a head cam. She believed that she encountered some being ad tried that it could appear before her but it was useless. Dave Tango and Steve took a look at the warden’s house but they couldn’t encounter much of the spiritual world. Grant, Jason, and Josh headed towards the area of cell where one inmate lit himself on fire. They heard a faucet turn on but there was no working faucet available.
At the end not even an episode filled with any evidence, which was a major disappointing factor as the whole show was spent at the prison. The team spoke its experiences at the prison, mostly of footsteps and shadows. They called it as a waste of their time because they couldn’t come up with evidence and didn’t call it a haunted prison.
