What is Fluxtimator? Actually, Fluxtimator is a website made by NASA to help those people who are interested in Leonid meteor shower. The website will help those who want to know the exact time to view Leonid meteor shower in their area. The criteria is very easy, everyone who wants to know the right time to view the shower in his area will just have to enter the names of his area along with city name and Flaximator will tell him the exact time according to location.
In America, the meteor shower occurs annually on 17th of November and according to the experts of NASA the best time to view the free show is 1:30 a.m. EST and after sunrise.
We’re predicting 20 to 30 meteors per hour over the Americas and as many as 200 to 300 per hour over Asia,” says Bill Cooke, from NASA’s meteoroid environment office. “Our forecast is in good accord with independent theoretical work by other astronomers.”
Space.com suggests you
“give your eyes 15 minutes to adjust to the darkness. Then give the show at least a half-hour. The hourly rates stated above typically come in bursts, with lulls that may test your patience. No special equipment is needed. Telescopes and binoculars are of no use because meteors move too quickly.”
