There are more than 54,000 residents in Gaffney, South Carolina. Gaffney is accessible from highway 85 easily. It is beautiful and quiet place but the people living here, canceling their plans on 4th July, as four residents were murdered in last six days.
The first victim was 63-years-old, Kline Cash, who was gunned down in his living room last Saturday on June 27, 2009. After Kline, Hazel Linder, 83-years-old, and her 50-year-old daughter, Gena Linder Parker were found shot to death on Wednesday, 1st July, 2009. And the latest victims were Stephen Tyler, 45-years-old and her 15-year-old daughter. Stephen was killed but his daughter survived fortunately. They were shot in their furniture and appliance store in Gaffney, South Carolina.
Cherokee County Sheriff Bill Blanton said that the plenty of evidence links the killings but it is not determined that how the victims are related. They were all found shot to death.
According to Balton,
?People are locking their doors, even in broad daylight.?
And Peeler said,
?There is no greater fear than the fear of the unknown and nobody knows. You can cut the tension with a knife,?
Balton also said,
“I think our community has a right to be concerned. We’re concerned. We’re dealing with a man that’s killed four people.”
Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office released a second sketch of the suspected man on Friday, who believed to be the killer of the four innocent people.
According to police, the suspect may be driving a light-gray or champagne tan 1991-1994 two-door Ford Explorer.
Gaffney made headlines, in 1960’s, because of Gaffney Strangler, Lee Roy (LeRoy) Martin. He killed four people during 1967 and 1968 and surrendered after killing his final victim, a girl of 14.
