On Friday, there was shooting on the eighth floor of an office tower paralyzed downtown Orlando. Suspected, Jason Rodriguez, surrender peacefully and police handcuffed him and took him to the police station. He was fired from the firm two years ago.
According to sources he could make first court appearance on Saturday. In the attack 1 person killed and 5 injured. Witnesses told that they recognize Rodriguez as he entered the eighth floor. He pulled a gun from under his shirt and fired to a person standing next to him, who was reported dead later. The man then entered the office and fired many shots and wounded 5 of the employees.
The wounded were taken to the Orlando hospitals. They are expected to survive but the man who was killed still not identified. Ken Jacobson, the firm’s general legal counsel and chief financial officer said
“This is really a mystery to us; there was nothing to indicate any hard feelings.”
Jason Rodriguez told detectives that he was fired from the firm without any reason. He describes the reason of attack “Because they left me to rot,” Ken Jacobson said
“It’s been 2 1/2 years, we don’t know where he’s been or what he’s done.”
He also said he didn’t know why Rodriguez would say the company had left him “to rot.”
Rodriguez said he remained unemployed for year and half. Now he is working at Subway.
Gov. Charlie Crist came to Orlando Regional Medical Center and visited some of the wounded.
