The big hurdle has been cleared and it seems that now President Barrack Obama will achieve his landmark of $ 871 billion dollor healthcare reform bill. Today, in Senate voting, Democrats got a victory of 60 votes over 40 with the help of all democrats along with two independents and all the Republicans voted against the bill. The bill has already been passed by The House of Representatives. Although they have just reached the first milestone but the huge margin reflects that U.S. President will get his goal before the Christmas through the Congress vote.
Senator Harry Reid is very happy today. In a statement he said that Senate has made historic step towards our goal of delivering access to affordable health care to all American citizens. He said that although there are differences between two bills but these will be reconciled after confirmation from Senate. He says that the amendment has made a good bill even better. The revisions have cut the deficit of USD 132 billion dollors. Almost 8000 Americans are loosing their health insurance every day that’s why he was so disappointed and wanted to do some for them.
Senate Democrats are ready to pass health legislation that will deliver quality health coverage for all Americans this week. This bill will help to protect youngest citizens by declaring it illegal for insurance companies who refuse to cover a child for pre-existing conditions and on the other hand will support old Americans by strengthening Medicare. Notorious loophole, known as ‘doughnut hole’ is going to close. U.S. is a nation where there is no universal coverage.
