Howie Mandel

Actor, comedian and television host Hawei Mandel was born in 29th November 1955 in Canada. He is the host of the NBC American game show Deal or No Deal. He was expelled from the school for impersonating a school board member. After getting him self expelled from high school he started business of carpet selling which does not please him as much and he moved to Toronto to perform at Yuk Yuk’s as a comedian in September 1978. But he came into lime light through his role of Dr. Wayne Fiscus in a six years run hit TV show St. Elsewhere.
He also made appearances in many films includes Gremlines (1984), Gremlines 2: The New Batch (1990), The Iceman Hummeth (1985), It’s A Fine Mess (1986) and Walk Like a Man ( 1987) and Little Monster (1989).
He caught in a controversy during his performance at the United States Naval Academy where some jokes did not sit well with the administration. It came shortly after Tailhook scandal and Navy at the time was very sensitive regarding sexual harassment.
Since, 1980 when he first met his wife, they are living together and have three children Jackie (1984), Railey (1992) and son Alex (1989).
Mandel has mysophobia (fear of gems) so, he does not want to shake hands with anyone even with the enthusiastic contestants of Deal or No Deal
