India and Australia are looking to play the last match of the Hero Honda Cup 2009 as the weather conditions are not suitable for play. The spectators are demanding that ground officials should start the match as the rain has been stopped now and they want to see both the teams in action. Pitch inspectors have the right to say anything about the match as the commanding authorities
Australia has no tension whether match starts or not as they have already picked up the 7 matches series by 4-2 and Dhoni Eleven also have no tension whether match starts or not as they have lost the series.
Indians were lack in planning and their batting order were just flopped while Australians did not loose courage after loosing the two matches and continued to work hard. Initially, it was looking like Indians will grasp the series easily after they won two matches but Dhoni Eleven lost its pace and attention.
This series has proved Ricky Ponting as a better skipper than Dhoni. The series was a test of both and Ponting has got the number. Not just his individual performance was great but also he motivated his team as well. Indians had the advantage of an experienced team, home ground and home crowd it was not so easy for outsiders to perform here well as many of them were lack in experience.
Look at the spirit of the man who even wants more. Ponting said on Tuesday that he wanted to finish the series with 5-2 rather than 4-3 as 5-2 sounds better for him.
“We want to finish the tour on a very positive note,” he said Tuesday. “We have played some excellent cricket over the past few weeks and, while the series has been decided, it’s certainly not over as far as we’re concerned. To me 5-2 sounds a lot better than 4-3 does, so we’re going to go ahead full steam.”
