Today is the third day of the 3rd match of India and Sri Lanka and what a match it is for India and what a match for Virender Sehwag. Sri Lanka is struggling in this match and there winning chances are diminishing with the passage of time. Sehwag, who made a record of fastest double century in test cricket, continued his running pace today too and made another record of fastest 250 runs in test cricket but unfortunately did not manage to get triple hundred and got out on 293.
Tendulkar, Laxman and Dhoni played useful innings and made 53, 62 and 50 respectively while Dhoni still standing on crease. India has made 670 runs so far with 9 wickets lost. Sad, Yuvraj Singh is again failed and departed without playing a fine innings.
No doubt, India is in very strong position and they can win the match with an innings on the other hand, Sri Lanka who came here with an aim of winning the series for the first time in India is facing problems. There main fast bowlers are out due to injuries and adding fuel Muralitharan and Mendis are also not in the form. There are less chances for them to win this match only, they can just draw it if they played well but still they would not win the series as India is leading in the series by 1-0 and this is the last match of this series. The first match was ended in a draw.
