Jimmy Clausen is having a black eye these days. Jimmy Clausen suffered a black eye in a during a bar fight that occurred late Saturday night. University of Notre Dame quarterback and team captain was involved in a altercation that had taken place outside a South Bend Indiana bar. Clasuen was at the bar that night with his friends and family and was frustrated on team’s loss to Connecticut. According to reports from David Kaplan of WGN-AM 720, the fight outside the bar took place at 2:30 a.m. Sunday.
According to sources, Jimmy Clausen took a couple of punches to his face and suffered a black eye as a result. According to a South Bend Police Department spokesperson, over the weekend fight that involved University of Notre Dame quarterback Jimmy Clausen, no police report was filed.
To hide his black eye, Clausen has been seen wearing a viser to practice. Jimmy Clausen said:
“You guys have talked about it for a week or so,”
He said:
“You see my eye right now. But to be honest, I’m really just disappointed and sorry for all those seniors that have to end their careers, and we couldn’t finish it off.”
Clausen added:
“You guys saw me out there (at practice), and we just went about our business,”
Clausen said that the black eye he suffered during the fight has not affected his play at all.
