At the 2009 Teen Choice Awards, Joe Jonas was given an onstage haircut by famous retired boxer Mike Tyson. On Sunday afternoon, the 2009 Teen Choice Awards were held at the Gibson Amphitheatre in Universal City, California.

Attendees at the ceremony were shocked as they watched Mike Tyson cutting Joe’s curly hair on stage. According to a message posted on the Twitter account for the official Teen Choice Awards,

“Joe Jonas cuts off all his hair at Teen Choice, girls were crying in the audience,”

It is still not confirmed that whether Tyson cuts Joe’s real hair or if Joe was wearing a wig, as no official statement was passed by the organizers for the ceremony. According to some internet reports, it was just a publicity stunt for Teen Choice Awards. Not even Joe or Tyson commented on this matter.

The ceremony was hosted by ‘The Jonas Brothers’. They gave a splendid opening to the ceremony by performing “Much Better.” Five surfboards were won by the Kevin, Joe and Nick. The surfboards also include Choice Male Red Carpet Icons and Breakout TV Show for ‘JONAS’. Even their youngest brother Frankie Jonas, better known as The Bonus Jonas won Choice TV Breakout Star.

It addition, some wonderful performances were made by Miley Cyrus and Black Eyed Peas as well. It was such an entertaining show to watch. The star-studded event will be air by FOX on Monday, August 10. So, don’t forget to watch your favorite stars performing.
