Terrorist, criminal and killer of 10 people, John Allen Muhammad is executed last night in Virginia. The Governor Tim Kaine rejected the request for clemency submitted by the lawyer of john. It will be a great relief for the home members of the victims who were killed by John and his companion in Washington D.C. between September and October 2002.
Last night, John was executed by lethal injection in the presence of the relatives of victims, state officials and many other people.
Till the last hearing, John denied his involvement in the sniper killing and claimed that he was innocent and was being unfairly targeted for being a black.
Supreme Court clearly stated on the case that it can’t be hear or delay anymore.

“By denying Muhammad’s stay application, we have allowed Virginia to truncate our deliberative process on a matter – involving a death row inmate – that demands the most careful attention,” Justice John Paul Stevens wrote in a statement explaining the court’s rejection of the Muhammad appeal. “This result is particularly unfortunate in light of the limited time Muhammad was given to make his case in the District Court.”

The trial for the murder of Dean Mayers, a victim of 10, started in October 2003, and four months later after court found him guilty he was sentenced to death.
However, his wife has claimed that he wanted to kill her and not the other 10 people.
