Kelis Jones was born on August 21, 1979 in the city of New York and due to her popularity she is known as Kelis. Her earlier name was Portmanteau, her fathers name is Kenneth and her mother’s name is Eveliss. She basically relates to the field of musician and she is renowned personality who won the BRIT Award and also nominated for Grammy Awards.

The marriage of Kalis was took place in 2003 with Nas. It was expected that in the summer season she will give birth to a child and it is good news for the couple and now a days she is in Labor room of the hospital. If she gives birth to a child then it will be the first child together.

Although she was married in 2003 but she recently she has filed a Divorce from her husband due to some personal clashes even she was pregnant at the time of filing Divorce.

Miami Beach police arrested her in 2007 as she used bad language with them and also rushed towards the under cover officers of Miami Beach for the purpose of prostitution. She was put in the Miami Dade Country jail due to her offense. Later on she was released from the Jail by submitting a bond of 1,500 USD.

In September 2008 Kalis released from the charges imposed on her due to showing resistance against her and she said;

“I’m thrilled that justice prevailed in the end”

A spokesman of Kalis told that it was unlawful and against the human civil rights that Miami Beach Police arrested Kalis.
