Kunal Singh

Lavina Bhatia has been arrested by the police. Police said that she has been arrested in connection with the murder of actor Kunal Singh. Kunal Singh was found dead in last February. He was hanging from the ceiling fan of his rented apartment in Versova, surburban Mumbai.
Kunal Singh worked in ‘Gangotri and Mai Baap’, Tamil film ‘Kadhalar Dinam’ and its Hindi remake ‘Dil Hi Dil Mein’ opposite Sonali Bendre.
Lavina and Kunal worked together in the film Yogi. She was in the house for some official work when incident happened. Last August Bombay high court ordered police to re-look the case after the victim’s father, Rajendra, filed a petition that his son was murdered.
Inspector K Gadekar, Versova Police Station said

“After the court order, the case was re-investigated and a murder case was registered. We suspect Laveena’s role in the crime. She was arrested on Sunday under Section 302 of the Indian Penal Code,”

Kunal’s father Rajendra said that he claimed Kunal’s body from the hospital and found many injury marks on the arms and chest which indicated that he was murdered and later hanged to indicate that it was a suicide. After the order of the court the case reopened and murder case is register by the police. On Sunday Lavina Bhatia was arrested by the police for investigation and in connection with the murder.
