Marlee Matlin explains her past experiences and also put light on her relationship with the Hollywood actor William Hurt. She revealed that in her romance with William Hurt, she passed through some shocking incidents as well. Marlee Matlin said that he met William Hurt in the movie ‘Children of a Lesser God.’, in which they both were starred. In 1987, Marlee Matlin also won an Oscar for this movie. The romantic relationship between William Hurt and Marlee Matlin began after this movie.

The 43-year-old actress claims in her book that with actor William Hurt, she had been in a physically abusive relationship. She also talked about one fight between her and Hurt in which she claimed that Hurt threw her on a bed and ripped her clothes. She said she sobbed,

“No, no, no. Please Bill, no.”

In her book ‘I’ll Scream Later’ she claimed that she and William Hurt had dated for nearly two years and that time period was so turbulent as Hurt hit her every day she had new bruises. She said that several unpleasant things happened that time. She revealed that at that time, she was addicted to cocaine while Hurt was battling alcoholism.
