Michael Dyer announced his committment to Auburn today. Little Rock Christian senior Michael Dyer has announced this during a school assembly. Michael Dyer is the all-time leading rusher of the state.
In the MaxPreps 2010 Top 100, Michael Dyer is No. 15 overall. In the country, Dyer is the third-ranked running back. He is behind Marcus Lattimore of Byrnes, Duncan, S.C., and Lache Seastrunk of Temple, Texas. A number of schools including Arkansas and Tennessee had offered him a scholarship but he selected the Tigers over them. He also broke the Arkansas career state rushing record of 7,122 a couple of week ago against Lake Side (Hot Springs, Ark.). The previous record holder was former Elaine star Vernon Hicks.
The 5-foot-9, 215-pound man, Michael Dyer was praised by Little Rock Christian coach Justin Roper,
“His best asset probably is his balance,”
Roper added,
“What makes him so great is that there are guys who are fast and guys who are big and strong, and some are good receivers but Michael can do it all. He’s so hard to tackle because he’s so strong and you can’t knock him off balance.”
