Minnesota Wild chosen Nick Leddy in No. 16 draft.
Leddy was the first American of the night that moves to the Wild and hopefully his trade is expected to welcome by the fans of Minnesota Wild.
Nick Leddy is a defenseman, who used to play for Eden Prairie High School was selected by Minnesota Wild by moving down from No.12 to No.16.
Nick Leddy, who earned 37 points from 25 games last season, at Eden Prairie is an wonderful skater and have incredible ability to pass the ball. Nick also contributed well, and Eagles won the Minnesota State High School League Class AA state championship.
Wild lacks quality in, in top-line forwards and it was the reason behind the passing on Jordan Schroeder on a top-10 talent. Leddy is also the reigning Mr. Hockey Minnesota.
Schroeder, who is a playmaker and got goal scoring abilities would be available as first or second line center is also a good sign for Wild. Later in the first round, Leddy would have be available to his skills and qualities. Leddy will be joined to Nick Schultz, Brent Burns, Tyler Cuma, Marco Scandella and Maxim Noreau, to make defense even more strong for Minnesota Wild and makes his impact in the NHL, in the coming seasons.
