American soccer player Nick Rimando is currently plays for Real Salt Lake in Major League Soccer. Nick born on 17 June, 1979 and he studied in Montclair High School where he played soccer for two years. Ho signed a Project-40 contract with MLS in 1997. In the 2000, Nick was selected 35th for MLS Super Draft by the Miami Fusion. He surprised others by achieving one success after another. He helped the Fusion to win the 2001 MLS Supporters’ Shield.

After 2001 season when Fusion contracted then Nick was selected 3rd overall by D.C. United. Rimando was a part of every DC game in 2002 and 2003 until he missed the end of season due to an injury. In 2006, he just played two games in the whole season as he was beaten out by Perkins. In 2007 season he was the first choice keeper of RSL. Nick proved that he was the right man and did a great job and never seriously contended for a playoff berth.

He did heroic efforts against New England On 2 June by 13 saves in a 0-0 draw and on 15th September against Toronto by 12 saves in a 0-0 draw. In the end of the season he got the reward of his hard work and efforts and he was named Real Salt Lake’s 2007 Most Valuable Player.

Nick Rimando was the Salt Lake’s first-choice keeper in 2008 as well and named MLS Player of the Month for July 2008. In the Eastern Conference Final when they played against the Chicago Fire he made several saves in regulation. In 2009, MLS Cup against LA Galaxy, he saved on three penalty kicks and was named MVP. On November 17, 2002 against El Salvador, he earned his first and only cap with the senior team.
