Former skating champ Nicole Bobek has been charged. She has been busted on drug charges. Nicole Bobek is 31 years old and she made her first appearance in court on Monday regarding the drug bust. Basically, Nicole is from Jersey but last week she was arrested from Florida, in Hudson County. She was trying to sell the drugs. We have often seen cases, in which athletes used drugs to enhance their performance level but now athletes are selling drugs for recreational purposes as well.

Nicole Bobek represents her country and was a professional athlete but now she has been charged and believed to be a part of a New Jersey meth drug ring. Sam DeLuca, was Bobek’s Lawyer and entered a not guilty plea for Nicole. She is being held on a bail of $200,000. If convicted she probably faces up to 10 years in prison.

DeFazio, whose office conducted a probe, said today, Nicole’s name was being withheld until she could be arrested. She also said,
“She played a significant role in this operation,”

DeFazio said that with her help we caught a dozen more people involved in the ring. He said that it is yet to confirm that whether she used the drug or involved in the distribution business for the gold. Women’s U.S. figure skating title was won by Nicole Bobek back in 1995.
