Forrest Griffin and Tito Ortiz are two popular names in UFC. Forrest Griffin and Tito Ortiz, both are former light heavyweight champions and are famous for their aggressive way to compete. They recently faced each other at the Mandalay Bay Events Center on Saturday night and they set yet another classic example. Both Forrest Griffin and Tito Ortiz fought really well in the main event of UFC 106, but it was Griffin’s night. The two quality fighters can’t be separated but it was Griffin that makes all the difference. Forrest Griffin, the man that lost to to Anderson Silva of Brazil in August, made an immediate impact at the ‘The Huntington Beach Bad Boy’ in the main event of UFC 106. The final scores of the match were 30-27, 29-28, and 28-29 for Griffin.
After the match, Griffin said:
“Tito was a great fight for me, I think we’re gonna have to do a third – it’s 1-1.”
Tito Ortiz admired Griffin saying,
“Forrest came with a lot of heart and he put on a great show tonight,”
He added,
“He’s the better man tonight.”
Tito Ortiz was competing for the first time in one and a half year and he scored 16-7-1. It was pretty good as he made a comeback after undergoing spinal fusion surgery. He has not won in his last four fights but he has tremendous potential and he will rebound soon.
