Oscar Grouch

Sesame street will turned to 40, this week, on 10th of November, 2009. It is a puppet show which was started with an intention to teach the little kids the basic knowledge in funny ways. The show comprises of funny puppet characters which love to play and learn new things, among these is our Oscar Gouge, a green colored garbage can resident having no nose on face. He just loves to be in trash singing, “I Love Trash” but please don’t go on his lifestyle. Actually, this is his main aim he teaches children that people having different lifestyles and different opinions can also be great friends of you. Grouch is being performed by Carroll Spinney from the very first day of show.
Oskie is named after the name of a musician, Oscar Brand. He has two close friends, Big Bird and Bruno and often describes them as his best friends in public appearances.

Sesame street also runs is different markets and Oscar is often renamed like.
In Portugal his name is Ferrão, and does not live in a trash can, but rather in a barrel.
In Turkey he is named K?rp?k and lives in a big basket.
In Pakistan he is named Akhtar and lives in a rusty oil barrel.
In Brazil his name is Gugu.
In Poland his name is Oskar Zrz?da.
In France his name was Mordicus in the first adaptation of the show
