Ralph and Karen Guastaferro is the couple which is best known for its appearance on Wife Swap. Indiana’s Angie Boss went to join Ralph and Alicia, in Wife Swap, last year in January. Alicia is Ralph and Karen Guastaferro’s daughter. Ralph and Karen Guastaferro of Amherst, are again in news. This time in post Wife Swap trouble, they joins Balloon Boy.

According to reports, 62 year-old Ralph, and 52-year-old Karen faces 46-57 months and 16 months respectively as the couple confessed to laundering $1.2 million in a Canadian telemarketing scheme. It has also reported that for felony charges, Ralph and Karen have pleaded guilty.

On this, a statement has been released by Wife Swap that said:

“New York mom Karen Guastaferro (54) has made her home fit for a queen — a pageant queen that is. A former pageant contestant herself, Karen waits on her daughter Alicia (15) hand and foot. Their home is a shrine to beauty, pageant trophies and sparkle. Alicia has been winning pageants since she was 11 months old and says she “feels sorry for anyone who’s not gorgeous.”

The statement added:

“Anything Alicia wants, Alicia gets, including a gift every single day under the Guastaferro’s year-round Christmas tree.”

It also said:

“ Ralph (61) works tirelessly to keep up with Alicia’a $100,000 a year pageant lifestyle. He loves his pageant princess and wants to make her happy all the time, allowing her “choreless” schedule of pageants, social activities and cheerleading to run their lives. At school, Alicia is one of the most popular girls, and the family embraces that, playing chauffeur to her and all her friends.”
