One more news about the adventurous party crashers at President’s first state dinner. The White House has confirmed the couple did meet Barack Obama, adding insult to the injury for the Secret Service. A photo captures the moment where Obama shaking hand with Michaele Salahi while his husband Tareq Salahi standing aside President. The couple may face criminal charges and Secret Service said it was “deeply embarrassed and concerned” about the stunt.

The agency already admitted their fault as they did not check the guest list before allowing the couple to join the dinner. Secret Service Director Mark Sullivan said,

“Although these individuals went through magnetometers and other levels of screening, they should have been prohibited from entering the event entirely,”

He added,

“That failing is ours.”

Well the adventure of Salahis could prove disastrous for the employees, internal investigation is in process and the employees might be fired. A Secret Service source said the couple could be arrested with the possible charges of offence of lying to a federal agent. Salahis posted their party snaps on Facebook with a caption on the photo “The White House Marines welcome Michaele to the State Dinner.”

Paul Gardner, lawyer for the couple clearly mentioned them “innocent” and said,

“My clients were cleared by the White House to be there,”

He added,

“We will make them available to the media starting next week.”

Mother of Michaele Salahi, Rosemary Holt said,

“I know my daughter and she’s truthful,”

She added,

“It’s going to be resolved, let’s put it that way, you’ll see when it’s investigated and the results are in.”
