Samuel Jacob Bradford is suffering from another injury. Due to the injury to his right shoulder, he will not be available for the Oklahoma Sooners college football team. Sam, before suffering from first shoulder injury did miss three games against BYU.
Sam, who (born 8, 1987) is an American football quarterback, becomes the second sophomore to win Heisman Trophy. He is one of those tremendous players who hold the NCCA record with 36, touchdown passes by a freshman. According to the ranking of April 2009, both ESPN and Sports Illustrated ranked Bradford as the first pick in the 2010 NFL Draft.
According to the media reports, Bradford announced that he would forgo the 2009 NFL Draft in order to return to Oklahoma for his junior season. In the Sooners’ first game of the season, Sam suffered was not able to play due to suffering from sprained shoulder injury. Sam’s, injury causes Oklahoma went on to lose 13-14. Sam was hoping to return in about three to six weeks, but it all depends upon his fitness and form during the warm-up matches that he will likely to participate. Hence, after a period of three weeks rest, Bradford returned to the field against Baylor match, leading his team, the Sooners to 33-7 victory. But unfortunately, Sam re-injured his right shoulder on October 17, 2009 in the match against Texas on the second half of the game.
Gil Brandt, the former VP for player personnel, said,
“a season-ending injury likely wouldn’t impact Bradford’s draft status, so long as a doctor gives him a clean physical before the draft.”
Bradford believes that he will soon recover from the injury and join the team.
