Diane Schuler was responsible for the car accident that occurred ten days ago on the Taconic highway. According to police, a broken Absolut Vodka bottle was found in the car and they medical examiners also confirmed that Diane was drunk as they found 10 ounces of the same vodka in her system.
In that accident, eight people including Diane were killed. The other seven victims include Diane’s daughter and three nieces. All the four girls were under the age of 10. The kids in the car were helpless Three other people were killed. They were traveling in the car in which Diane’s minivan was struck. In that horrible accident, only Diane’s 5-year-old son was survived.
Police is still investigating about the accident that took place on July 26. Police also reported that the family of 36-year-old Diane is not responding to their questions properly. Police said they are not sure whether she was drinking on the way to her home or she had drunk before it.
Robert Guzzo, whose father-in-law and brother-in-law both were killed in the accident said,
“I’m stunned that anybody would do that with kids in the car,”
He added,
“I’m very angry. This was not an accident; it was a murder.”
According to the Westchester County toxicology examiner Betsy Spratt,
“She would have had difficulty with her perception, with her judgment and her memory”
One mistake made by the irresponsible mother cost the lives of eight people including herself.
