On Sunday, a 16-year-old motocross racer Tanner Krahenbuhl killed in an accident. The accident tool place on Sunday night when the RV he was riding got out of control after losing its brakes and as a result, it rolled off a steep Powder Mountain Road.
There were three people riding in the vehicle but only Tanner Krahenbuhl lost his life. The other two people riding along with the unfortunate teenager were Krahenbuhl’s racing teammate, 17-year-old Zack Fussel, and 34-year-old Mike Hutcherson. The victim was from Nevada, Henderson. The other two riders were also from Henderson according to reports.
According to reports, the three were on their way to the three-day Monster Energy Powder Mountain Motocross event and they started had driving at about 8:20 p.m. from Powder Mountain.
According to Weber County Sheriff’s Capt. Klint Anderson, the RV was pulling a large trailer with motorcycles and tools. He said the investigators believed that the accident occurred due to the brake problems as the road on which they were traveling was steep.
Anderson said.
“(The road) can be very treacherous,”
Anderson added,
“It tore up the coach pretty bad,”
Anderson said that the vehicle and its trailer apparently went over the side and rolled after a short time. He said that the speed of the RV was high when the incident took place.
