Taylor Dent defeated Ivan Navarro after an amazing five-set thriller. It was truly incredible, especially for a man who came back from a couple of surgeries. The match played between Taylor Dent and Spanish tennis player Ivan Navarro on Friday night at the U.S. Open tennis tournament lasted 4 hours and 12 minutes.

Taylor Dent has 121 winners, 190 points won and 20 aces as he beat the Spanish tennis star by 6-4, 5-7, 6-7 (1), 7-5, 7-6 (9). The commentators went crazy as they watched Dent running and jumping at the court. The match who recently had two back surgeries and was not able two walk properly after his treatment was seen serving clocked at 147 miles an hour. Its really wonderful.

After the match, the young man from Newport Beach said,

“I assumed he was going to be a typical clay court player,”

When Dent was asked about his delicate surgeries, he said.

“When they told me I had the opportunity to play tennis again, how could I pass that up?”

Dent added.

“A select few get to play professional sports. It would have been naive and irresponsible of me to not try to capitalize and come out here and give it my best.”

Dent who currently ranked 195th in world said.

“It’s going to be rough, there’s no way around it,”

Dent further said.

“My execution is not where I want it to be, but that’s not going to stop me from battling. That’s how I won today. Even if it’s 6-0, 6-0, 6-0, I’m going to go out and hustle and give everything I’ve got.”

Now Dent will face world no. 2 Andy Roddick in his next match and it would be a thriller for sure.
