Taylor Swift was the host on this week’s “Saturday Night Live,”, and she addressed her personal life during the show without wasting any time. In her opening monologue, Swift tackled the Kanye West VMA incident pretty well. She sang a tune called “The Monologue Song (La La La),” made some interesting changes to it as she sang,
“You might think I’d bring up Joe, that guy who broke up with me on the phone/ Hey, Joe, I’m doing real well, tonight I’m hosting ‘SNL’ “
It was a reference to the Jonas Brothers member and Swift’s ex-boyfriend Joe Jonas. She also put light on the latest rumors circulating that she is dating Taylor Lautner, a “New Moon” star as she sang,
“If you’re wondering if I might/ Be dating the werewolf from ‘Twilight’/ I’m not gonna comment on that/ In my monologue,”
She then watched to the camera, winkled and said,
“Hi, Taylor,”
The crowd went crazy on the jokey version of the song presented by Taylor Swift and they whistled their approval. On this Taylor Swift sang,
“You might be expecting me to say/ Something bad about Kanye/ And how he ran up on the stage/ But there’s nothing more to say/ ‘Cause everything’s OK/ I’ve got security lining the stage.”
She laughed and said,
“We’ve got a great show, Kanye West is not here”
She ended her monologue after that but it was really amazing.
