Tropical Storm Erika, that was previously supposed to be a weaker storm is getting stronger. According to reports, on Wednesday, Tropical Storm Erika has taken an uncertain path and it is now expecting to hit Puerto Rico and Haiti. It is also said that if the storm will possibly also hit Florida by next week. It was said that Tropical Storm Erika was expected to crawl northwest but it wasn’t happen and it jogged southwest. Reportedly the storm’s center reforming caused it to change its path.
According to reports, Erika was moving west-northwest at 10 mph at about 11 a.m., and its location was about 100 miles east-southeast of the northern Leeward Islands. The storm is expected to cross the northern Leeward Islands during late Wednesday night and early Thursday morning.
Later Thursday, the storm is expecting to move towards Puerto Rico and the U.S. and British Virgin Islands. The forecasters predicts that they could see rain up to eight inches on Friday, as the storm passes. On Saturday, Dominican Republic and Haiti are expecting to face same conditions. Its then headed to the Turks and Caicos Islands next day. Than its remnants will reach eastern Cuba to northeast of the Bahamas, on Monday.
To detected multiple circulations regarding the storm, a Hurricane Hunter plane sent into the storm early Wednesday.
