Last day, Tualatin Police Department received reports of shooting in the area of Martinazzi Avenue and Warm Spring Street at 11:48 a.m. According to the sources, a person fully loaded with armors, opened fired at a business located in a strip mall at the intersection of Martinazzi Avenue and Warm Springs Street causing two people dead and other two severely injured. Later, it was known as a drug-testing center.
After investigation, police declared the area safe reporting that shooter was no longer at large. Police has confirmed the death of one male and one female and the injured were sent to Oregon Health and Sciences University Hospital and Legacy Emanuel Hospital in Portland.
Several emergency medical agencies sent resources to the site to help the victims and confirm the magnitude of the incident. TVFR sent 10 medical units to the site while Metro West sent 6 ambulances and Lake Oswego Fire Department sent one unite.
“Initially, there was conflicting information coming in,” Karen Eubanks, TVRF public information officer, said in a press release. “We were hearing that we had the potential for as many as ten victims, so we were prepared for many more patients.”
Initially, all the units were directed to nearby Tualatin Elementary School but after the investigation, the law enforcement soon sent the units at site.
