Verizon’s first Android Smartphone is just ready to use. The verizon Droid by Motorola is the first device which includes Android 2.0 OS. The smartphone is thin, slim , smart and easy to use. It will create effect on Apple’s smartphone and will remain harmless for iphones. A lot of new technologies are introduced in it like its 3.7 inch 854 x 480 huge screen which will give you an easy look, touchscreen, 5-mehapixel camera, OTA Amazon MP3 downloads and a slide-out QWERTY keyboard. Camera is loaded with auto focus and dual LED Flash.
Smartphone is bringing a lot of facilities for the users like accessing to Facebook, MySpace, Twitter. The user will be able to chat, call, SMS, and e-mail to any person mere just clicking on his/her snap.
It also includes Bluetooth, WiFi, USB 2.0 and EVDO Rev A. GPS is attached along with Google Map Navigation Beta with free turn by turn directions. A 16GB microSD card and all the Google apps are loaded in the box. Droid will be launched on 6th November with a price of $199.99.
Motorola and verizon network are hoping for its success. They want it to capture the market with its features. Recently, its market campaign is going well but no one can predict about the success of failure except the users. Market’s unfavorable economic climate can affect its sale, let’s see what response it gets from the market and users.

    The Droid is comparable to a lot of other sliding touchscreen/button smart-phones, the OS is definitely noteworthy, and surprisingly easy to use… I’d say it was a good move by Verizon
